A few more tips ...

A few months ago I wrote a blog post about getting the very best fit from your wig and readers enjoyed it so much that I though I would write another blog on this subject today offering you a few additional tips.

Wearing hair is a different experience from person to person and getting the best fit possible makes a massive difference to your comfort, security and confidence on a day-to-day basis.

Adjust your nape straps ...

This seems like a really obvious one but I failed to mention in in my previous post so it's taking it's place in today's post!

Your wig will have adjustable straps at the nape. You can tighten or loosen these to adjust the circumference measurement of the wig to better fit your head.

Be mindful to not over tighten these as this can usually have the opposite effect and instead of your wig feeling more secure it will feel like it's going to pop off!

Using tape is OK ...

There are numerous brands of double sided tape on the market today that can be used to help secure your wig.

These tapes are generally used on a daily basis (fresh tape each day) and are hypoallergenic to avoid any irritation on sensitive skin.

You can use tape on your lace front, ear tabs and in the nape to get a more secure attachment and tape is especially good for windy days or nights out when you feel you need a little extra security.

Using clips and combs ...

This tip is especially useful for women who have undergone Chemotherapy treatment and are growing out their bio hair and still wearing a wig.

Pressure sensitive snap clips or combs can be sewn in to the front, ear tabs and nape areas of your wig to give you additional security should you feel you need it.

I hope that these few tips will help you a little on your hair wearing journey! If you liked today's blog post then you'll love my fortnightly newsletter. Sign up for free below!
