Sloane Wig - Jon Renau - Comfort Collection
Meet Sloane, a timeless mid-length Heat-Friendly layered style that brings polished, everyday style to any occasion. Part of our Comfort Collection, Sloane features our innovative HighDefLace Front—Jon Renau’s most comfortable lace that is buttery soft and gentle against the skin. A smoother, finer, and more transparent lace creates a delicate, virtually invisible temple-to-temple hairline.
Specially designed for those with scalp sensitivity or those seeking the most comfortable wear, Sloane combines light density with a hand-tied back and monofilament top. Every detail of the premium cap construction is thoughtfully designed for all-day wear.
Inspired by the iconic layered cuts of the ’90s, Sloane features soft, face-framing layers and a sleek mid-length silhouette that creates natural movement with timeless versatility. Wear it smooth and polished or customize the look with heat styling.
Due to the delicate nature of the HighDefLace Front, gentle handling and attentive care are recommended to help preserve its beautiful integrity.

HighDefLace™ + Heat-Friendly Fiber Care & Maintenance
HighDefLace™ is crafted from ultra-fine materials to create a soft, transparent, and natural-looking hairline. Because this lace is more delicate, gentle handling and proper care are essential to maintain the wig’s beauty, comfort, and longevity.
Cleanse & Condition
-
Detangle first: Before washing, gently remove tangles using your Jon Renau Wide Tooth Comb only. Avoid pulling or tugging near the lace front.
-
Rinse thoroughly: Wet the hair completely under cool running water.
-
Shampoo gently: Apply a small amount of Jon Renau Fiber Love Shampoo, keeping the hair flowing in the same direction. Use light massaging motions—do not scrub.
-
Support the lace: Hold the lace with your hand while washing to prevent unnecessary stress.
-
Handle with care: Avoid stretching, pulling, or tugging on the lace.
-
Rinse completely: Continue rinsing under cool water until it runs clear.
-
Condition: Apply 3–5 pumps of Jon Renau Fiber Love Conditioning Spray, focusing on the hair and avoiding the base.
Dry & Style
-
Air dry only: Place the wig on a plastic or wire wig stand that is smaller or collapsible to prevent tension.
-
Protect the lace: Ensure the lace front does not rest on the stand’s cross pieces, which can cause dents. Smooth the lace so it lies flat—do not stretch or pull it taut.
-
Avoid heat drying: Do not blow dry. Air drying provides the best results.
-
Dry completely: Make sure the cap is fully dry before placing it on a canvas block head to prevent stretching while wet.
-
Detangle after drying: Apply 3–5 pumps of Jon Renau HD Smooth Detangler to the mid-lengths and ends. Gently comb through using a wide tooth comb only.
-
Use proper tools: Heat-Friendly fibers should only be combed with a wide tooth comb to prevent frizz and tangling.
-
Heat styling: Heat-Friendly fiber can tolerate up to 350°F (176°C), but the recommended range is 270–280°F (132–138°C).
-
Professional tools recommended: Use heat tools with digital temperature control, such as the Jon Renau Infrared Duo Styler. Always style carefully around the lace to avoid stretching.
Storage
-
Store the wig on a wig stand or smaller mannequin head to maintain cap shape and prevent stretching.
-
Keep in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight to protect the lace and fibers.
-
Avoid storing near heat sources such as bathrooms, styling stations, or windows.
Maintenance Tips
-
Heat-Friendly synthetic fibers may tangle or frizz with wear. Address frizz early using a flat iron to smooth fibers before washing.
-
Regular detangling helps extend the life of the wig and prevents tension on the lace or cap.
-
Use HD Smooth Detangler and a wide tooth comb daily, paying special attention around the delicate lace front.
Heat Styling: Curl or Smooth
Before Styling
-
Set your curling or flat iron to 270–280°F (132–138°C).
-
Detangle gently using a wide tooth comb, avoiding the lace area.
-
Starting at the nape, work in ½–1½ inch sections.
-
Apply 1–2 pumps of Jon Renau Heat Protectant Spray to each section and allow it to dry before using hot tools.
To Curl
-
Wrap the section around the curling iron, smoothing to the ends.
-
Roll the iron toward the base of the wig, staying 1–2 inches away from the lace.
-
Hold for 10–15 seconds, then release the curl into your palm.
-
Secure the curl with a small metal clip (pin curl).
-
Allow curls to cool completely (about 5 minutes) before removing clips.
To Smooth
-
Glide a flat iron slowly through the ends while following with a wide tooth comb to keep the hair smooth.
-
Avoid pulling or tugging near the lace.
-
Allow the hair to cool and fall naturally for the best finish.
